Quality, laws and rules at Oriola
We do not see the quality of our services as a competitive advantage: this quality is a must, allowing us to correctly handle the goods we work with. And quality has many facets, not least safety.
To run our business, we have to observe a series of laws and rules. The Medical Products Agency is the controlling authority which ensures that Oriola operates in compliance with the requirements laid down for drug handling. We hold wholesaler’s licences and manufacturing licences, among other things. The latter allows us to repackage and relabel products on behalf of our clients. These licences are issued by the Medical Products Agency. The Medical Products Agency also requires us to employ an expert within the specific area. This person is responsible for ensuring that Oriola is operating in compliance with the laws and rules required for the handling of drugs.
Other important laws
Other important laws and rules to be observed are:
- AFFE, for the handling of medical products
- The information security standard SS 627799-1
- The Working Environment Act
- The Environmental Code and other environmental laws
- Rules on the handling of hazardous goods
Of course, in other respects we operate in compliance with all other laws which are generally applicable to the running of companies such as ours.
